Curriculum

Through nature-based activities, our curriculum in third grade is designed to meet our students’ level.

In English, our students will become independent readers as our teachers expand their reading and reading comprehension skills. They fluently express their feelings and opinions on topics, they contribute actively to class and group discussions, asking questions, providing useful feedback, and making presentations. They will decode multisyllable words and irregular spelled words. They will also develop and strengthen their writing skills by planning, revising and editing.

We believe that learning Mathematics within contexts and making connections relevant to learners can validate past experiences and increase students ‘willingness to participate and be actively engaged. In our school, our Math instructional time will focus on developing the understanding and strategies for multiplication and division, understanding of fractions, developing understanding of the structure of rectangular arrays and of area as well as describing and analyzing two dimensional shapes.

In science, our students will expand their knowledge on nature. They will get involved in inquiry activities and a variety of experiments. Our science curriculum will cover life cycles and traits, different environments, observing weather and forces around them.

In addition, our program covers social studies, Specialists lessons, Arabic language as well as Islamic.
